Ocala Lung and Critical Care was first founded in 1995 by Dr. Purushottam Mitra and Dr. Nagesh Kohli to serve all residents of Marion County, specializing in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. Since then, Ocala Lung and Critical Care has acquired a dedicated staff of seven expert physicians and seven highly trained nurse practitioners providing comprehensive care for patients with various lung conditions in Ocala and The Villages. Ocala Lung and Critical Care also played a pivotal role in launching Ocala's first physician residency program, offering clinical rotations, didactic learning, and scholarly research.
